Monster at Pop Gun, New York.

Monster, 2024.
Collection of 'Hulks', LOT of miniature skateboard obstacles.

Monster, consists of two collections of objects which have been purchased online— a collection of assorted figures which are representational of the comic and film hero ‘Hulk’; and a LOT of miniature skate board obstacles.
Both collections of objects were purchased on eBay and have been installed using a mode of display ripped from Haim Steinbach’s exhibition Creature, presented at the Tanya Bonakdar gallery in New York.
For this presentation, Steinbach installed a white wallboard beam and triangular incline in the upper-floor gallery space to display a singular object — a 2FT tall vinyl collectible figure of The Creature From the Black Lagoon.
In Pop Gun’s backroom, two privately collected Banksy paintings hang above the gallerists’ bed. The stenciled spray-paintings depict Kurt Cobain and a glock-wielding panda bear.
